I know that some immigrant ships used an 'indirect route' from Hamburg to Hull
in England (and passengers took a train to Liverpool) or to Leith in Scotland
(and passengers took a train to Glasgow).
Does anyone know if there were similar 'indirect routes' for immigrant ships
that departed from Bremen ?

I know the route of one specifically, but saw others in searching through the series
'Germans to America'. The 'Hannover' which brought my great-grandmother and
family (originally from Posen) from Bremen to America, showed stops in Le Havre
and Havana.

The 'Minerva' was a Perlbach ship. Port of Arrival listed is Hull.
Passengers would board a Perlbach steamer in Hamburg and sail
to Hull, where they would board a train for Liverpool, where they
would board the steamship that would take them across the Atlantic.
