German cemeteries ?

There are one or two cemeteries in Allenstein itself which still have
German graves. However, a rather large Evangelical cemetery on
Wojska Polskiego (Adolf-Hitler-Allee) was 'moved' some years ago.
I don't know if the stones still exist (I shall ask). There is now a monu-
ment saying it was once a cemetery. In many of the villages there are
still German graves but many are impossible to read.
In some villages where the population were mainly German speaking
it is possible to find German language graves upto 1960's-70's.

Erste Weltkrieg / Friedhof Allenstein.

I was in the cemetery today (21. März 2007) and collected some names.

Many of the graves are extremely hard, if not impossible, to read.
It seems to have been a soldiers cemetery between the wars as well,
as there are several graves from 1920's and 30's.

I haven't collected them all yet. There are over 400 graves,
so I hope everyone will be Patient.
